Merseyside Maritime Museum is based at the Royal Albert Dock in Liverpool. On display is a vast variety of archives and objects relating to the history of the port of Liverpool. In addition is a large exhibition of Liverpool's connection with the Titanic and Lusitania ships. The museum also holds archives relating to Liverpool's role in the American Civil War, due to the areas strong financial and political links with the Southern States, the end of the conflict and The International Slavery Museum.
